My beloved four readers,
The name given to this
female type certainly does not sound persuasive or sexy to our ears
as it might sound for an Hourglass or
a Diamond female type (a variation of
the apple female type), but if we stop for a moment to observe her, we will notice that this type, with her broad shoulders
and narrow hips, is quite prevalent among athletes. What? Yes, take
swimming athletes like Federica
Pellegrini for example.
She is a Strawberry shaped woman, but
we can also find examples of this type of body shape in the basketball or
volleyball worlds.
It is also
the body shape that is most present on fashion show catwalks. But wasn’t
that the Banana Shape?
Indeed, Banana Shaped Women aplenty may be found
there, but the broad shoulders of the Strawberry
Shaped Woman give her the nickname "the crutch" because
the designers' clothes "hang" on her so easily.
But life is not a bed of roses for this woman.
She
definitely will never have the problem of not being able to wear a pair of
Levi's 501 like her cousin, the Pear
Shaped Female. But it will be hard for her to find the dress of her
dreams that fits her narrow waist and her ample bust perfectly. If she opts
for a smaller size to fit her narrow hips, the dress will be too tight on top,

only succeed in making her look like a rugby player.
This is the reason why The Strawberry Women are always dressed in jeans and huge sweaters with which they try to hide their massive bust and flashy breasts.
Her main objective will therefore be to balance the two halves of her body,
reducing the upper and emphasizing the lower half to achieve a look that

- You wear a bigger
size for the upper part of your body than the lower
- When you put on
weight, the fat is evenly distributed to the entire body, especially
on the upper part of the body, including the breasts, arms and back (which
is quite rare for the other types like the Pear or Banana Woman )

She is a
woman that we will call Fabiola. She has the average measurements
of a Strawberry Woman Shape.
About The

wears a size 42/44 for the upper
body and a size 40/42 for the lower body.
There is a
lack of proportion between the sturdy upper part of the body
and the more slender lower part of the body.

About The Vertical Body Type
The upper half of the body - her bust - is proportionate to her lower half –
her bottom and legs.

TIPS FOR CREATING A VISUAL BALANCE:
The Strawberry female, as we have
explored previously, has a slightly masculine aspect – big shoulders, no
curves at the level of the waist and hips. She might easily end adopting
men's clothing or even worse, she might only come to feel at ease in
overalls and sneakers.
Her goal must therefore be to minimize the upper part of her
body firstly by softening her broad shoulder line while at the same time showing
off the lower part of her body by putting more emphasis there, and secondly
by trying to create a defined waist.
- The Strawberry
Woman can attract attention to her lower body by using:
* colors: dark for the
upper and light for the lower part.
* belts: to create a
waist line
* pants or extravagant
skirts
* shoes with heels or
bright colors
- She should also improve her posture and avoid hunching
in an attempt to hide the breasts or shoulders.
Do not underestimate:
- She must seek clothing
lines that recreate the shape of a triangle pointing up, typical
of Pear Shaped Woman - or clothing lines that visually give the
illusion of an hourglass shape .
- She will have to buy a good bra, no matter how much it costs. This is not extravagance for The Strawberry
Female Shape. Good support will shape the bust as only cosmetic
surgery could do by making this part of her body instantly slimmer and modeled.
What to avoid:
- She should avoid any detail of design that creates volume
- ruffles, double breasted jackets, turtlenecks, gaudy earrings, very large
brooches – anything that draws attention to the upper part of the body,
looking instead to keep it linear and free from these elements.
Keep in mind that there are Strawberry Female Types who are proud of their athletic body, with their pronounced shoulders as well as their healthy breasts, and who have no desire to minimize anything. This desire may be legitimate but, of course, she must be smart enough not to overdo it because otherwise she runs the risk of looking like an American football player .
She may emphasize the shoulders with clothes that have clean lines including plain or square
necklines. But she must also remember to create a defined waist point with
the addition of belts and to shift the focus to the lower part of the body,
leaving the legs uncovered, with a skirt or dress length above the knee or
mid-thigh.
